The Bento Box of Packing

When it comes to a nice weekend trip, one of the first thoughts that comes to mind is what to pack and what to wear. For me, I have always struggled with overpacking and then end up realizing I don’t need half the stuff when I’m actually there. It took a few tries to get it right, but now I know the formula called the bento box of packing. This method is way for you to pack the right amount of clothes and necessities without packing your whole closet. Here’s the seven tips to use as a guideline before your weekend getaway!

Pack...

1.Basic Essentials: This includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup wipes, feminine products, etc. so that way you can always be prepared. I also like the mini emergency kits. You can get ones from Sephora, Urban Outfitters, or Nordstrom Rack. It’s a great way to have what you need without the hassle of bringing a lot.

2.A fun playful outfit: This is for an occasion when you want to go out with your friends and/or family for a day out!

3.Bathing suit: Whenever I think of a fun vacation, I always think of swimming. So needless to say you should bring it since you never know if you’re going to want to hop in the pool after a blazing hot day.

4.Your wallet: I think this is one of the most things to bring on a trip so that way you have money, credit cards, ids on you in case you need it during your trip!

5.Camera: In my opinion, I switch from both a Iphone camera or a professional camera depending on where I go. I would just do whatever you’re comfortable with because the purpose of having it on you is to capture a moment!

6.Basic top and jeans: I always wear this as my go-to outfit because it’s easy and it’s good for when your on the go. You can also pair it with a cute hat or a pair of stud earrings so it’s simple but chic!

7.Pack both shades of your foundation (light and dark): This is a tip I learned from my sister while traveling with her. She explained that when you’re out in the sun getting tan, you don’t want your skin to look blotchy with the tone difference in your skin. By having both shades of your foundations, you have options to pick from later during the day.

6.Workout gear: Whenever your in the mood or have a chance to hit the gym, you have the stuff you need to get your workout in!

5.Comfy socks and a sweatshirt: This is something that I strongly recommend packing because wherever your staying at during your trip, the room can get cold. At the end of the day you want to be comfortable and wear something cozy to wind down after a long, fun day.

6.Purse: This is another item that is super helpful to hold everything you need including your phone, wallet, etc.

7.Sunglasses: This is a cute way to amp up your outfit as well as protecting your eyes from the sun whether your sun tanning or walking around!

I hope this helps you with your packing layout with your next weekend getaway! Stay tuned for more!
