Flying Solo
So today was full of surprises. It started off like a normal day. I did the whole morning routine shabang (which I will go into detail about later) and I got myself ready to go out. Currently, I’m in LA (solo) and I decided to go shopping on my free day. First I went into Samy’s Cameras. If anyone is a photography freak like I am then this is the place to go. It was photography heaven and I was living for every second of it. It had everything you could possibly think of that revolves around digital and film photography. I upgraded my camera and boy did it feel good. I could go on and on about it because it was a really cool experience. It's definitely not something that is common in the Chicago or Ohio area. This place was a lot better than going to a Best Buy let me tell you. After I went there, I decided to drop it off my new and improved camera at the hotel and go to Fred Segal. This place is known for having an authentic shopping experience that revolves around the appreciation for fashion. I heard a lot of good things about it from online website reviews and from Reese Witherspoon that played Elle Woods in Legally Blonde lol. As I walked in, I was overwhelmed. It had a lot of unique decor and a lot of different apparel/products. Right off the bat, it was very chic and trendy. Anyone in the fashion industry would love this place because of how eccentric it was. Some items I was looking at were a little bit too expensive, but I kind of expected that considering it was like a pop up shop boutique and each section was different. Then after I looked around and bought a couple things, I went to grab some early grey tea and sat at a table to finish my #Girlboss book. As I waited for my drink that I’ve been dying to have all day, I looked up from my book and saw Camila Cabello. Yep that’s right I said it. Camila Cabello. I thought I was just kidding myself when I saw the music pop star just sitting a table across from me. I was in literal shock. My mouth was wide open and I was in total awe. Then I finally had the courage to ask if it was her and she said yes! I automatically fan girled over the fact that I met my idol in person. She was so sweet and a lot smaller than I imagined. She looked very different in person than on tv. I asked her to take a picture with me except she declined because she didn’t want people to know where she was. It made total sense and I understood why she wasn’t too loud at the coffee shop. After I met her and her sister (I assumed), I shook her hand and she walked away. Let me tell you. THAT WAS THE ONE OF THE MOST SURREAL AND BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE. It's crazy that I am writing this and saying this to you all because even I’m in shock while putting this in my blog. After that moment, it made me happy that I experienced it in California. I’ll always look back and cherish this memory forever. All it took was a little adventure before attending the #Girlboss Rally! As a side note, just remember to put yourself out there and experience new things. You never know what you’ll find or who you’ll end up meeting :)
Xoxo,
